Privacy Policy — Personal Expense Predictor

1. Who we are

This app, Personal Expense Predictor (package name com.webtulip.personalexpensepredictor), is published by Webtulip.

2. What information the app processes

2.1 Information you create

• Expense entries (amount, category, date, description, notes)
• Income entries
• Recurring-expense templates and frequency rules
• Skip-this-month / one-off adjustments
• Month start day and other display preferences
• Optional voice notes (transcribed locally — see Section 4.2)

All of this is stored only on your device, inside the app's private Room database and DataStore. It is never uploaded to us — we have no server that can read it.

2.2 Information automatically collected by third parties

3. What we do NOT collect

• Your name, email address or phone number
• Bank account, card or UPI details (the app never asks for them)
• Your contacts, photos, files or call/SMS history
• Your precise location
• No analytics SDK at all (no Firebase Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Amplitude)

4. How permissions are used

4.1 Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS)

Used only to deliver your daily morning briefing. Scheduled locally via AlarmManager; nothing is sent to a server.

4.2 Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO)

Used only when you tap the microphone icon to dictate an expense. The audio is handled by Android's on-device SpeechRecognizer. We never upload the audio or transcript anywhere.

4.3 Internet

Used only by AdMob and Play Billing. The app itself makes no network requests.

4.4 Boot Completed & Exact Alarms

Used to re-arm the daily briefing after a reboot and ensure it fires at the chosen time even in Doze mode.

5. Where data lives

• In the app's private storage on your device (Room SQLite + DataStore).
• Optionally in your Android Auto Backup (encrypted, restored only to your devices).
• Statement exports go wherever you choose to save or share them.

6. Subscription and ads

30-day free trial. After: yearly subscription via Google Play Billing, or stay on the free tier and optionally watch a rewarded video ad to extend access in 20-day chunks (max 3 per day). Reward only granted after AdMob confirms the ad actually played.

7. Children's privacy

Not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data.

8. Your rights

• Access / portability: use Share statement / Download as TXT.
• Correction: edit entries from the Details screen.
• Deletion: delete in-app, or clear app data in Android Settings.
• Withdraw ad consent: subscribe, or reset Advertising ID in Android Settings.

9. Data retention & security

Your data stays on your device until you delete it. We retain no copies because we receive none. App database lives in Android's app-private sandbox, encrypted at rest on modern Android. AdMob and Play Billing apply their own retention rules.

10. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when a new feature changes the data picture. The "Last updated" date will change accordingly.
