1. Who we are

2. What information the app processes

2.1 Information you create

• Volume presets (per-stream percentages, ringer mode preference)
• Automation rules (headphone-plug presets, Bluetooth-device presets)
• Floating-panel preferences (position, size, transparency, accent colour)
• Quick Settings tile preset selection

All of this is stored in the app's private Room database + DataStore on your device.

2.2 Information about your device the app reads (but does not transmit)

• Current volume per stream (read via Android AudioManager)
• Connected Bluetooth audio device name (only if you set up a Bluetooth-trigger automation)
• Whether wired headphones are currently plugged in (only to fire automation triggers)

This information stays on the device and is never sent anywhere.

• Your name, email, phone number
• Contacts, photos, files, SMS, call logs
• Audio recordings — the app reads volume levels, never audio content
• Precise location
• No analytics SDKs

4. How permissions are used

4.1 Modify Audio Settings (MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS)

To set the volume on each Android audio stream when you move a slider or apply a preset.

4.2 Access Notification Policy (ACCESS_NOTIFICATION_POLICY)

To change ringer mode (silent / vibrate / normal) and toggle Do Not Disturb when a preset includes it. Granted from a system page; the app never reads your notifications.

4.3 System Alert Window (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW)

To draw the floating volume panel on top of other apps. The panel only displays controls; it does not record screen content.

4.4 Foreground Service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE)

To keep the floating panel alive while you switch between apps. Required by Android for any persistent overlay.

4.5 Bluetooth Connect (BLUETOOTH_CONNECT)

Only used if you set up a Bluetooth-device-specific preset. The app reads the connected device's name to match your rule. No pairing is initiated by the app.

4.6 Boot Completed & Exact Alarms

To re-launch the floating panel after a reboot and to schedule the keep-alive watchdog.

4.7 Battery Optimisation (REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS)

Optional — you may grant it from a system page so Android doesn't pause the floating panel under aggressive battery management.

4.8 Internet

Only AdMob and Play Billing use the network. AudioDeck itself makes no network requests.

5. Where data lives

• Presets and settings live in the app's private Room database + DataStore.
• Optionally in Android Auto Backup (encrypted, restored only to your devices).

6. Subscription and ads

30-day Pro trial. After: yearly subscription via Google Play, or free tier with optional ad-extends (20 days each, max 3/day). Reward granted only after AdMob confirms the ad fully played.

7. Children's privacy

Not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data.

8. Your rights

• Access / portability: presets are visible in-app; you can recreate them elsewhere by reading the values.
• Deletion: delete presets / automations in-app, or clear app data in Android Settings.
• Withdraw ad consent: subscribe, or reset Advertising ID.

9. Data retention & security

Your data stays on your device until you delete it. Stored in Android's app-private sandbox, encrypted at rest on modern Android. AdMob and Play Billing apply their own retention rules.

10. Changes to this policy

Updated whenever a new feature changes the data picture. "Last updated" reflects the date.
